Board President

Corrine Corso is Deputy Director of Child Care Circuit, a Massachusetts-based organization that provides child care referrals, training, and parent/provider services locally and nationwide. Child Care Circuit was selected as the Child Care Resource and Referral Agency for Essex and Upper Middlesex Counties, the most densely populated region in the state and one of the most diverse with multiple languages spoken among the thousands of children and families served. Child Care Circuit collects and disseminates accurate statistical information on Massachusetts child care providers, and information on state vouchers and training for parents, providers, and employers. Given the agency’s success under Corrine’s leadership, Child Care Circuit has been featured on the Today Show, ABC World News Tonight, and in Working Mother magazine. A former CAYL Fellow, Corrine has taken on leadership roles, including serving on the Upper Middlesex Commission on the Status of Women and is Past District President of the New England District Exchange Clubs.

Carol Nolan

Carol Nolan
Board Secretary/Treasurer

Carol is a dedicated early childhood education professional with over 40 years of experience in the field. She spent eight years at the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, serving as the Head Start State Collaboration Director and Associate Commissioner of Strategic Partnerships. Her career includes roles as a National Head Start Fellow and Director of Children’s Services at the CAAS Head Start program in Somerville, MA. Carol has held various leadership positions, including being a CAYL Fellow and Mentor, and teaching as an adjunct faculty member at Wheelock College and Bunker Hill Community College. She has presented at numerous conferences and takes pride in mentoring Head Start parents and teachers to pursue careers in early childhood education. Recently, Carol earned the MassAIMH Endorsement as an Infant Family Specialist, supporting the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health workforce in Massachusetts.

Jeri Robinson

Jeri Robinson

Jeri, the current Chair of the Boston School Committee, brings over 40 years of experience in early childhood and museum education. As the former Vice President of Early Childhood Initiatives at the Boston Children’s Museum, she developed the innovative PlaySpace exhibit and co-founded several educational programs. Jeri is a graduate of Girls Latin School and holds multiple degrees from Wheelock College, including an honorary Doctorate in Education. Her contributions to education have been widely recognized, earning her numerous awards such as the Wheelock Centennial Award and the Abigail Elliot Award from BAEYC. Jeri has participated in prestigious fellowships and continues to serve on multiple boards focused on family, community, and early childhood education issues. Her expertise extends to providing training and consultation to various educational organizations, solidifying her role as a respected leader in the field.

Hanna Gebretensae

Hanna Gebretensae

Hanna Gebretensae is the Director at Eliot Pearson Children’s School, a laboratory and demonstration school at Tufts University’s Department of Child Study & Human Development. She leads the university’s early childhood education initiatives, overseeing services for children and families while facilitating collaborative learning with educators locally and globally.
Previously, Hanna directed Early Childhood Programs at Aspire Institute/Wheelock College, managing statewide training in ECE assessment in Massachusetts. She is a certified mentor-director for ECE programs and a diversity trainer. Hanna has held adjunct faculty positions and managed early childhood projects in East Africa.
Her educational background includes a bachelor’s in Human Development and ECE, a master’s in Educational Administration, Planning, and Policy, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership, Curriculum, and Instruction. Hanna also holds a certificate in Educating Children with Special Needs from Israel and was among the first CAYL Fellows in Early Care and Education Policy in Massachusetts.

Marta T Rosa

Marta established MTR Consulting Services in 2004, offering executive-level services to diverse institutions, primarily in the not-for-profit sector. With a Master of Education degree from Cambridge College, Marta has served in senior executive-level positions, including Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Executive Director for Government & External Affairs and Community Impact at Wheelock College, where she served as a member of the President’s cabinet for twelve years. Before higher education, Marta worked as Executive Director, leading a nonprofit organization focused on family and early childhood care and education services locally and nationally. She has also worked at the state level, leading policy and program planning development efforts for children and families. Marta was among the first Latina elected officials in Massachusetts, serving on the School Committee and the City Council for Chelsea; she was appointed to the Governor’s School Readiness Commission Finance Task Force.

Clarence Little

Clarence Jeffrey Little
Director

Clarence Jeffrey Little, part owner of Grove Hall Child Development Center, has been in the early education and care field for over 45 years. A former CAYL Fellow, he serves on the board of the Common Start Coalition and Greater Boston Early Educators Network. For over 20 years, he has coached and trained with MetroBoston Strongstart. Clarence is a certified CLASS observer for infants, toddlers, and pre-K, and is certified by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a trainer in Social Emotional Learning and Approaches to Play and Learning.
